We strongly recommend that you request a color sample prior to placing your order. Individual color wood chip samples are available. You may request up to four paint samples free of charge. Please e-mail us with the paint samples you desire and the address to which you would like us to send the paint samples. Please NOTE: the address must be a USPS recognized address.
ALSO NOTE our policy regarding colors: "If a customer does not request and purchase a sample, as long as the manufacturer has used their standard paint, the items they have received are assumed to be accurate and now the property and responsibility of the customer."
Finishing Technique and Finishes as stated by the Manufacturer:
Finishing Technique: We do not intend to fully cover the natural texture of the wood we use. We instead wish to incorporate the wood grain and texture in our finishes to create a visual and textural experience. Some of our colors will also allow some of the natural wood character to show through more than other colors. Fire Truck Red specifically will allow the most natural wood color to come through. If you wish to have the natural wood hidden as much as possible, please let us know and we will take extra steps to accommodate your order.
Finishes: Distressing is our finishing technique where each piece is painted and lightly sanded to let the natural wood show through.
Our finishing process consists of 3 layers of HAPS Free Water Based paint. Some colors also receive a layer of HAPS Free Water Based primer. We then apply 2 layers of a water-based clear urethane. Our Beadboard collection receives a Satin Clear coat and can have our Standard Distress or Light Distress.
PLEASE NOTE: We also offer ANY Benjamin Moore paint color for an additional 5% per item, $60 Minimum per color, per order. If you are selecting this option, a Benjamin Moore color number or name must be provided. Our checkout process will not include this upcharge. You will be contacted with the upcharge amount which will be charged separately prior to starting your order.

***Important note about all items that arrive via Freight Carrier***
If the product(s) you ordered arrives via freight carrier they will arrange to deliver the item(s) when you are present. The freight carrier generally will not bring your merchandise past curbside; however, inside delivery (white glove delivery) can be arranged for an additional fee. If you are selecting white glove delivery, our checkout process will not include the upcharge for this service. You will be contacted with the upcharge amount which will be charged separately. Request for white glove delivery service should be made when the order is placed.
Please be aware that it is the responsibility of the receiving party to check each shipment for damage at the time of delivery. This must be done! If an item, or items, are damaged, refuse those items but keep the undamaged item(s). If the damage is noted correctly, the manufacturer will provide a replacement for you at no cost & will file all necessary freight claims. If there is damage, however the damage is not reported or recognized at the time of delivery, you the receiver will have 15 days to report this damage directly to the freight company. This type of damage is called 'Concealed Damage'.
A claim for this can be submitted however the typical reimbursement from the freight company is only 33% of the invoice, & not identifying the damage at the time of delivery has removed the manufacturer and Twin Enterprises from our ability to file claims on your behalf. The responsibility of filing the freight claim is now completely that of the receiver. In addition, all packaging materials must remain with the item(s). Typically an inspection will be performed & these materials will need to be presented at the time of inspection. An inspection will occur once the damage has been reported & the inspection scheduled.
If the freight company or delivery service will not allow you to inspect your shipment, you now have 3 options:
#1 - ask the driver if you can write 'Possible Concealed Damage' on the Bill of Lading & then sign for the shipment.
#2 - contact the freight company headquarters by telephone immediately & tell them the driver will not allow you to inspect your shipment. They, at this point, should now allow you to inspect your shipment. If not, then...
#3 - refuse the shipment and contact Twin Enterprises and tell us of your situation.
